PUBG’s Full Xbox One Release Comes in Two Weeks

Fresh from Gamescom 2018, the publishers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have announced the game will exit the Xbox Game Preview offering this coming September 4th.  The Xbox 1.0 version update will launch with new weapons, dynamic weather changes and comes with a smaller Sanhok map.

The update will also feature a War Mode deathmatch, cosmetic items will be available via in game microtransactions and a suite of Xbox branded cosmetic DLC for current and new players alike.

If we’re honest, the Game Preview version hasn’t been too much of a joy to play with even the developers announcing a “Fix PUBG” initiative back in Early August and we fully expect development to continue long after the 1.0 launch.

Microsoft also announced a PUBG limited edition Xbox One controller featuring “new and exclusive trigger grips” and a digital camo design and will come with matching PUBG DLC. The controller is available to pre-order now and will ship on October 30th for $69.99.
