If like us you happen to be a parent or around children under 7, you might have heard of about Paw Patrol. If you haven’t, it’s a hit show from Nickelodeon about a team of very special rescue pups and their owner rider. Toy sales for PAW Patrol alone generated over $300 million in sales and Amazon consistently lists Paw Patrol merchandise as part of its top 10 Christmas toys.
Nickelodeon and Outright Games have teamed up for PAW Patrol: On a Roll, set to release for consoles and PC this October. The game comes with 16 adventures that stars all eight of the rescue pups as well as Ryder. We can honestly say this one’s going to be huge in our household, no question.
“For many kids, PAW Patrol is the first show they become true fans of; we are happy to introduce kids and families to the joy of video games by creating a game that allows kids to join their favorite characters and save the day,” said Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games, via press release. “PAW Patrol: On a Roll is a fun way for every member of the family to get involved in the Pup’s rescue mission!”
Malham when on to say in the announcement that Paw Patrol is often kids’ first TV show they get into, and the developer hopes that Paw Patrol: On a Roll will serve as a similar introduction to video games for young players.
In the Paw Patrol game, players will use each pup’s unique abilities in order to rescue friends and keep their community safe. All of the eight different chapters take place in Adventure Bay–the setting for the show. Locations include Farmer Yumi’s Farm, Jake’s Mountain, a desert canyon, under the waves, and many more.
